I actually enjoyed the remake!

Don't get me wrong, nothing can replace the original. But after the initial phase of getting used to all these new actors, I enjoyed more than I thought I would. I think Mr Grainger was spot-on, Brahms was good, Rumbold was good. I enjoyed Mr Conway, I liked Captain Peacock...I think. I understand Harman was a secondary character but Arthur Smith was just too different for me.

Now, onto Humphries are Slocombe. Jason Watkins is a good actor, but I just felt like he was trying too hard. Especially that walk up the stairs, he got the hand actions right. But Inman is just to iconic to replace. Sherrie Hewson, at first like Watkins I felt like she was trying to hard, towards the end I warmed up to her. But Molly like Inman was just to hard to replace. Overall I give the reboot a 6/10

Mr Humphries in the remake: I felt like all the charm and cheekiness that John I. brought to the part was completely missing. The actor seemed to think that all he had to do was exaggerated gay mannerisms, and that would be enough to be funny, but it wasn't. There was more to the character than that, and he missed it entirely.
