Theme Tune

Does anybody know where I can find a recording or download of the theme tune.

I think it was called 'Galloping Home'.

Thanks

Hi there Gary

I do remember that My Mum had the record when I was a child - we were both fans of the show. I will do some scouting around for you but I am sure that it will be on a tv themes compilation or something like that as it was VERY popular at the time.

Hi there

Follow this link. It also provide you with an album title which is still being distributed by Amazon in the USA.

Hi,

Incidentally I ordered the TV Themes compilation from Amazon USA last night. I'm looking forward to hearing the New Adventures of Black Beauty ; )
The Sterling times web site opens with a rpm Real player file if you want a listen.

Be aware the New Adventures of Black Beauty is a more recent version of the original. The 1978 (or is it 1972?) Black Beauty theme tune I have already doesn't feature choir vocals and it's faster than the (1992?) New Adventures of Black Beauty. Well, the version I downloaded off LimeWire is. Never actually watched the TV series.

Hi,
I just linked over to the Sterling site and the list of 24 themes has The New Adventures of Black Beauty listed. I wonder if they've taken out the music from the original show and replaced it, or if this is just a goof.

The theme I remember from England as a child (probably a different "Black Beauty" than seen in America) was actually "Vivaldi - The Four Seasons - Winter". It would have been from the early 70's.

The choice of Vivaldi was a great one. It definately invokes the imagery of a gallopping horse.

I don't know what programe you are talking about, but I am from the UK and aged 43. Vivaldi was never used as the theme for this series. The music is entitled "Galloping Home", and was composed by "Dennis King". it has been on many TV compilation Cd's.
