The "Warner Archive Collection" DVD is now available at Amazon as well, albeit through Third Party sellers only (at the moment).
Costs about 20 bucks or so -- DVD is barebones, not even a trailer, and has no subtitle option, but at least the film is in its correct widescreen aspect ratio and is anamorphic.

Yes you can get this through the WB online store but I am very disappointed.
This is one of the VERY few titles I have ever come across that is ONLY available through online purchase, and then ONLY via "custom burning option".
What this means is that Warner has not actually pressed this movie in the traditional sense. You must submit an online order and then the movie will be burned for you on a DVD-R as if you had burned the movie yourself on your own computer !?!?!?!?!?!
As someone pointed out, the extra features are basically non-existant. Given this scenario, I find the price that Warner is marketing this title at is completely outrageous.
I hope this is NOT the future marketing strategy for "rarer" titles like this. Surely Warner Brothers can jusify something a little better than that for this movie???
EDIT: And while I am thinking about it, what about ACES HIGH (1976). Geez, Warner, what is wrong with you??
That is really disappointing.I`d assumed,probably like yourself,that it was a "proper" dvd release.There is a r2 Spanish dvd with English audio and a decent 2.35:1 pic but it`s missing some footage hence my interest in the R1 disc."Ace`s High" is out on dvd in the UK but you`ll need a multi-region player to play it.
