In response to heckles

While its a pretty inane war film admittedly,I found it a pretty decent adventure yarn. Rather than being pedantic about historical inaccuracies I advise taking the film in the spirit of indiana jones or whatnot. besides thematically its little different from something like Where eagles dare ,well apart from the magna carta thing thats just crack-addled

There's a whole sub-genre of war/action adventure films like:

The Dirty Dozen
The Guns of Navarrone
Where Eagles Dare
The Eagle Has Landed
Inglorious Bastards (both versions)
Von Ryan's Express
Play Dirty

These are all WW2 films that certainly are not historically. Zeppelin seems to be the only WW1 set of this type of film along with Shout at the Devil.

You're a funny guy - but looks aren't everything.
