One of my favorite films

I remember seeing this film years ago and was lucky enough to purchase a VHS copy on eBay .... It is still as creepy and full of suspense as it was back when it was released in the theaters! Great story and very spooky mansion! Highly recommend watching it if you ever see it scheduled on TV to be shown again!!!

It's been forever since I saw it, probably not too long after it came out. I'd already been watching The Waltons when I saw this so it was QUITE a shocker at the time!!! Would love to see it again, as it was a really good movie!

I've already seen the worst movie ever made, so it can only be uphill from there.

I love this movie! I know what you mean about it being a shocker after "The Waltons". My mother and I never saw John-Boy in the same way again!
That was actually a good thing!

Face it girls.... I'm older and I have more insurance!

It's one of my favorites. I love the weirdness of the music. It makes for an eerie and wonderful atmosphere throughout the film.

Cool.

Great to hear some positive reviews! I lived in Duluth, MN nearly my entire life and love the Glensheen Mansion (the location where this was filmed). I'm seriously considering blind-buying this today when it should be released!

Loved that mansion too. I would love to know if the interiors were shot inside the actual mansion. That staircase and all of that wood work was gorgeous.

Yes, they were. The actors used to hang out in the billiard room that Roger Caldwell broke into to murder his mother-in-law. Kenny’s long pause on the staircase is unbelievably foreshadowing of the real life murder.
