Was Wonka ever sued??

For the accidents he caused at the factory.

Also has these "accidents" ever occured in the past with other kids? Could THaT be why the factory was closed for a while?

reply

He probably covered himself in that contract he required them to sign, although that would require that minors be allowed to sign contracts under the the jurisdiction that Wonka's factory was in.

They actually could have sued Wonka for demanding they sign the new contract in the first place! Wonka's original contract was a unilateral one. 'Find a golden ticket, present it at the factory gates, free tour and lifetime supply of chocolate!' Those were the terms offered and under contract law presenting the ticket was offer acceptance making all parties enter into legal relations demanding terms offered be acknowledged. But that would have been a pretty boring movie lol!!

We have to show the world that not all of us are like him: Henning von Tresckow.

The contract is void because all of the children are under the age of 18. Only their parents can sign things for them, so the parents could sue Wonka. However, this is all in a fantasy world. We are trying to bring logic and rationalism to a world where oompa loompas work for free to make chocolate.
