This little movie is a mess

The main character seems half-asleep. Her enormous coiffeur is distracting, unbelievably perfect and completely anachronistic.

There are much too many subsidiary characters to distract from the essential drama. And some brilliant actors stand around with nothing to do— Ralph Richardson and Rosalie Crutchley.
