Corny Parts

corniest parts of movie...

every scene in which Helen gets all emotionally worked up and Adelle give her 'you're wierd' looks.

Shelley Winters slamming her hands as she plays the piano with her back hunched (the same way she did in Steppin' Out)

Adelle coming home from dinner with Dennis Weaver, "Alright, so I got a snootful."

Helen having an emotional reaction from backstage and Adelle totally attacking her for ruining the show.

Helen when she pushes the bad guy down the stairs. What is he completely lame? He doesn't even put up a fight.

I loved this movie! I saw it as a kid, and just thought it was great!

"Your mother sews socks in Hell, Karras!" Do you believe that Happy Crappy?

reply

the funny thing was I bought it on ebay just for my mother because she was always raving so hard about it, but I had never seen it. Another movie I got on her ravings was The Shuddered Room. It's all good. If you're into corny movies try Dead Ringer with Bette Davis...it's more vintage corn as it was made in the sixties. If you've already seen it let's discuss.

HOw about Debbie tapdancing? That was really good. Wish there could have been more gratuitous dance scenes. Also like that little girl singing Nasty Man. Oh you nasty man taking your love on an easy plan. Here and there and where you can...OOOOHHH you nasty man.

Debbie Reynolds doing a lively tango at a posh restaurant really takes the deliciously cornball cake for me.
