Opinions anyone...?

The script for this is very literate and there seems to be a whole slew of things representing other things.
So...what's the deal with the voice coach and what's he supposed to represent? Helen screams everytime she sees him (and I mean EVERY time). There's a scene where Debbie Reynolds encounters a homeless man who clearly represents her fear of poverty. So what's going on with this guy who keeps frightening Helen?

I think you've over-read. they are both skittish as cats because they have left the state where ther son's have been convicted of a heinous crime and helen became a revenge victim while leaving the courthouse. they were just both very paranoid and scared for their lives.

ORRRRRRRRRRRRRR,

since Hamilton was a flaming queen, perhaps Helen was afraid to face her homosexual feelings she was having towards Adele and how much she hated men. so, perhaps being a man and a homosexual, that is why she was screaming.

It was okay.

It was grade B trash. The detail was nice and two washed up stars managed to land on board. But this did not elevate it. Everyone new what it was and did not need the critics to remind them of it.
