Ian McShane's voice dubbed?

Just watched this, and it seems quite obvious that Ian McShane's voice has been dubbed by someone else.
It's not even that a PAL/NTSC speed change has done this - it's surely not his own voice.
Does anyone know why they did this?
I've seen some of his early work [Wuthering Heights from 1967] and it's not like he has an objectionable accent or voice characteristic.

Ian McShane's voice wasn't dubbed in Villain.

In his later work he puts on a much deeper, richer, quieter tone (you never hear him raise his voice in Lovejoy) but in Villain he was playing someone far more boyish - in all sorts of ways.

All of the dialogue seemed re-recorded, which may account for it seeming a little odd.

Just a lot younger McShane talking in character.🐭
