i saw this movie in the early 80s,when i was a kid.aside from the hot looking vampire girl, and nude scenes, the thing that really stuck in my mind was the theme music, which was this very haunting acoustic piece, that was played constantly throughout the film.does anyone know if their was a soundtrack ever released for this movie??or who the composer of the music was??
I love offbeat obscure vampire flicks especially from the late sixties and early seventies so I couldn't wait to get ahold of this, especially since it stars "Lance Rock" from Beyond the Valley of the Dolls! It's alright I guess (not quite as campy as i would have liked) but I agree the acoustic guitar piece was pretty haunting.
I came to this board specifically to see if anyone mentioned the acoustic guitar music. Like the OP, I have seen this movie only once, in the early '80s (at the Prince Charles cinema in London, as a double bill with Daughters of Darkness), and can barely remember the film at all. In fact, about the only image I remember is the title character dressed in red in, I think, a desert landscape with the couple in their double bed.
BUT.....
...the MUSIC!! Now that I do recall. In fact, it's stuck in my head for these last 25 years, and I would love to hear it again.
Here I am again, a little over a year later, to tell that tonight I have at last heard that music again! It's weird, but even though I only ever saw this film once, I found I'd remembered that acoustic guitar tune perfectly.
Here is a new link to the movie on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCu9bJ9Kd4w I'm glad I wasn't the only one who found that music so mesmerizing. I remember as a kid thinking that it sounded like something Jimmy Page could've composed for Led Zeppelin III. I could sort of play it , wish I had a tablature for it.
