Low traffic...

on this film, of course since it's such an obscure forgotten movie.
Personally I am an afficionado of obscure vampire films, the kind that are more interested in mood and ideas (Daughters of Darkness, Vampyres(70' film), Jean Rollins films, etc...) than cheap thrills and over the top nonsense.
I got this film on DVD to add to my collection and was not disapointed at all, though again I would have trouble recomending it to anyone who doesn't share my taste for this kind of fare.
Also I like visiting these obscure movie's IMDB boards just to see if anyone will reply. Come vist at the Gemini affair board which is probably the loneliest board there is.
Anyone?

Also surprised that so few visit these retro horror/sci-fi boards on Amazon. You mentioned Daughters Of Darkness. That is one of the best vampire movies ever made, IMHO. The resort hotel adds to DOD's reputation. Delphine gave a great performance. Maybe run into you again. Now get back to watching those movies!

I hear talk about this movie having a following yet there is indeed not much traffic around here. Too bad, as it's a very enjoyable little movie of which Tarantino is very fond; as Nathaniel Thompson states on the commentary, that's understandable as "The Velvet Vampire" maintains such a great balance of art and exploitation.

who's Nathanial Thompson?

reply

I believe he's a horror historian. He moderates the commentary with actress Celeste Yarnall.

What do you think this is, a signature? It's a way of life!
