I take it you didn't actually watch at least one of those films...

Not a fan of Easy-Rider, at all... Few friends love the film, but I'll never watch it again. Watched this movie today for the first time and came in, debated a few, then gave it a 10 (would really have rather gave it a 9.5, but not an option, and thought 9 was too low).

The two films had nothing to do with each other except they were both landmark counterculture films. Kowalski was defying authority and standing up to a corrupt system. There were none of those themes in Easy Rider. You probably had to live through those times to understand but it is one of the top 5 and possibly top 3 counterculture films.
