Emil (Anthony Higgins)

LOL I just realized that the actor playing Emil, the vampire cousin of Count Mitterhaus, billed in this movie as Anthony Corlan, is the same actor billed as Anthony Higgins who played "Paul", the clean-cut hero guy in TASTE THE BLOOD OF DRACULA. He looks completely different! but you can tell around the eyes that it's the same guy.

He was also originally billed as Anthony Corlan in Taste The Blood Of Dracula, not sure if that changed in later video or dvd prints of the film.

I've been an Anthony Corlan fan since first setting eyes on him long, long ago. I wondered where he had gone; we had no way of tracking careers then since magazines focused on relatively few actors and other entertainers.

After seeing "Young Sherlock Holmes" and now having access to the Net, I looked it up on IMDb. Imagine my astonishment when I found that Anthony Corlan now was Higgins! I really did not recognize him at all though he's still very handsome; somehow, he looks quite different from the youth I remembered so well.

I'm watching the film on THIS right now, and, all over again, he's taking my breath away each time he is on screen. What an astonishingly, wildly beautiful youth! *sigh*

Oh, yes, I appreciate his acting talents, too! IMDb provides me with many performances to search for.

EDIT: Oh my! Looking at his filmography, I see that my admiration began with only the second role in his career: Boy in "Stranger in the Family", an episode of "Journey to the Unknown". Next up was "A Walk with Love and Death", which I've been fortunate to view again on Fox Movie Channel a number of times.

Yes, I've been watching all the Anthony (Corlan) Higgins performances I can find, I love his acting. Now as a 65-year-old, he obviously looks completely different to how he did in his youth, but still a handsome guy. His Emil is sexy in that Glam Rock, Marc Bolaneque way. I loved his facial reactions to getting staked: "You....have staked me? I've been....STAKED? Wha??? How???" "plunk*

Am I anywhere near the imaginary cliff?

Emil/Anthony Higgins is quite handsome. Definitely my favorite in the movie.

Just got around to watching this gem and barely recognized Anthony Higgins (thought he was great in "Young Sherlock Holmes") as Emil. I'm also a 65-year-old and have seen most of Higgins' performances. This role was, ahem, very strange in a very strange and eerie film. I believe it was the long dark locks Higgins wore that threw me at first. I would be remiss if I did not mention I loved the tiger-striped dancer, too. Great moves.
