my brother went as the GTO for halloween '79 but no one got it but me
i find i relate to the GTO more than my mother does, but not as much as my faher or brother do
his reckless combination of rugged good humour and intelligensia really cuts my jib, frankly, and though the GTO may be one of cinema's unsung greats (2nd only to those old Frankenstein adventures) i find his exploits only gain passion in my mind as time goes by{so slow}
I know what you mean, I felt(not the fabric) so bad for him because all he really wanted was somebody in his life.
I don't know if I'm quite the fan you are but i'm okay with that, I love myself for who I am.

I love GTO. His character is so hearbreaking. I would have ridden with him anywhere. Plus the car was awesome, LOL. He just wanted to connect with someone and my heart just goes out to him every time I watch this movie.
I think Warren Oates was an absolutely brilliant, underappreciated character actor.
Someone tells me you'll never get it....not that I didn't, if that makes any sense???
