Timing Marks

At the end of the movie they show the mechanic adjusting the timing on the chevy before the final race.
It looked like the balancer had three chalk marks on it.

One for street driving, one for racing - why a third setting / timing mark?

i concur. that 0 can be a B*tch to find if its not marked!

I only saw two chalk marks. If there is a 3rd it probley was the factory cut for 0 degrees.

If there were three chalk marks, it was for TDC, initial advance setting, and the total amount of advance (including the centrifugal and/or vacuum advance).

Or it might be, TDC, normal driving setting, and race setting.
