Considering how grainy the Criterion DVD is, I have to wonder if Blu-ray will be much of an improvement, other than for audio.

Keep in mind folks that the Two-Lane Blacktop Blu-ray from Amazon UK is a region B and will not play in USA Blu-ray players. I bought a UK model player and it allows me to watch 2-Lane BT at home in the US.

The Criterion Region A Blu-ray release of "Two Lane Blacktop" supervised by Monte Hellman himself must be considered the definitive version of this cult classic film.

Hellman also supervised the creation of a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack which improves the realism of the racing scenes.
