Sucky ending!
I thought this film was great until the end. It was a really bad way to end this. Worst Lee film ever!
Game of Death is still the best ever!

shareI heard there was an alternate ending where he just walks out of the place, and well thats about it. It use to be listed on the IMDB's alternate versions, but I guess there is no real proof this ending exists.
shareI thought the end was good : he totally demolishes the evil boss (bet many people have dreamt of doing that to their boss lol) and gets arrested , kinda like a Chinese rebel James Dean or something......
shareIn Chinese culture even if your the good guy in a story you still have to answer for killing people. Hence, the ending with Bruce getting arrested. Same goes for Fist of Fury where he dies at the end for killing others.

I love the ending, it's one of favourite movie endings ever.
shareWouldn't the people have explained to the cops that the man was a drug-lord, or were the cops on the payroll? I don't understand the ending.
shareI am assuming it's because Bruce's character was a Vigilante for taking justice in his own hands.

But from their point of view they arrived to all these corpses and one bloodied dude standing among them, so the safest thing to do is arrest him and figure out later what happened as their review the evidence.
But yeah, if this were western or any other American film he'd have freely walked out of there with Chow Mei.
