SWEET, SWEET RACHEL ON DVD

This movie showed at least once on Sci-Fi channel. I taped it and transferred it to DVD. I also have the rest of the Sixth Sense series. Am looking for uncut versions.

Great movie, dramatic, very well acted by a strong talented cast. I am surprised it is not one of the great classics of its time. I see it can be purchased as a DVD from raremoviesworldwide.com. I think it's a must have for the serious collector. Certainly makes you think about the powers of mental telepathy and had that creepy effect of keeping you on the edge of your seat. So pleased you posted this.

I hadn't realized it basically served as the pilot for the series, "The Sixth Sense", and what an interesting contrast the much older Alex Dreier makes compared with the producer's eventual choice of Gary Collins. But yes, it was very creepy and possessed the overall look and mood that the director Damon Packard was paying homage to in his movie short "The Early 70's Horror Trailer" (right down to the female character running in slow motion). It's a movie that very much bears the stamp of it's time.

I don't recall seeing "The Sixth Sense" series but do note the age difference between Alex Dreier and Gary Collins playing the same character. It is a movie of its time. Like many such films, and I am thinking of "Simon, King of the Witches" also on YouTube, you need to pay close attention to the storyline and maybe only get the full meaning of the story on the 2nd or 3rd watching.
