re: Just bought the movie...

Just bought this movie. But first I went onto this website to gain more information about before I watch.

The cast looks brilliant for this movie:

James Garner .... Latigo Smith
Suzanne Pleshette .... Patience Barton
Jack Elam .... Jug May/'Swifty' Morgan
Harry Morgan .... Taylor Barton
Joan Blondell .... Jenny
Marie Windsor .... Goldie
John Dehner .... Col. Ames
Henry Jones .... Ez
Dub Taylor .... Doc Schultz
Kathleen Freeman .... Mrs. Perkins

I can't wait to watch this. I've watched already, "Support your local Gunfighter", and that was brilliant.

I love these Comedy type Westerns. I could never understand why no one seems to vote for these types of movies. I will give you my verdict on this film tommorrow. Then vote!

I watched the film and its enjoyable, funny and just what we need these days after a hard day at the office, or a hard day justlooking after the Kids...

Jack Elm as the "fake" Swifty Morgan is just brilliant.. Him and James Gardner make up the expert comedy team....

This film is so good to wind down, smile and have a goog dam right out old laugh at...

I wish people would be so hard on "Westerns".. If they saw films like this they would think twice about them.

Not as good as the "Sheriff"... as film in my opinion.
But nearly.. as that in its self means that it is a great film to see.

Anyone reading this ..please watch this film..

Look out for the performance of Jack Elm as the fake "Swifty Morgan", and he alone will put a smile on your face...

There are other performances in here that will put a smile on your face as well.. But you will have to watch the film to see what I mean.

Wonderful comedy...THats not vulgar!

People hard on westerns? Except for Mel Brooks with Blazing Saddles, nobody was harder on the genre than Garner and Cherokee Productions.

Garner did do it with more love. But then, Westerns made good comedies even before people started making spoofs. The Cheyenne Social Club, for example, or the Marx Brothers' Go West (which is about the earliest spoof), or Buster Keaton's Go West, or Will Rogers' The Ropin' Fool, which dates back to the early 1920s.

I thought Gunfighter was better myself. Jack Elam made the movie for me.
