Anyone know where I can find this 1971 classic "Some of my best friends are" ????? please let me know...

I can't find where it's ever been released in VHS or DVD. I sure would like to buy it if it is.

It's on LOGO network right now. Keep on eye on your TV listings if you get this station - they repeat their programming pretty regularly. Maybe you can Tivo it and burn it to a DVD.

I'm watching it on LOGO too, right now. They aren't giving it the continuous treatment they give most movies. I hope they show it again -- I caught it about 15 minutes into it. It IS 1971, very realistic. As some earlier person commented, I was there in 1971 too, and this movie is the way it was. Somehow I'd never heard of this movie before. I'm adding my voice to those who would like to see a DVD made of it.

I met Flannie Flagg when I lived in Birmingham and I was an extra in "Stay Hungry" in which she was in. I did not get a chance to ask her about this title but wrote her later on. She never replied. I think this is one movie she was in that she doesn't like credit for.

BTW I do have an original VHS copy of "Boys In The Band" which I would let go of if someone is really interested.

I've seen a DVD available from modcinema.com, so you might want to check with them. Hope that helps!
