Just awful. See it and weep....

Weep for the missed opportunity that this film was. Rue McLanahan as an aging fag-hag; Candy Darling as a victim of hate crime; Gary Sandy as a bisexual gigolo? This film is so badly directed, shot, acted and scripted that it truly is painful to get through it. There was potential for a campy pre-PC story here, but it isn't campy. Nor is it poignant, or funny, or sad. It's just awful. Go watch The Boys in the Band again to see how it's done.
