new facebook page 'Fans of The Snow Goose'

Happy New Year fellow fans, just wanted to let everyone know I've created a facebook page for us, imaginatively entitled 'Fans of The Snow Goose.'
At present it's really boring but I'm hoping to maybe use it as a vehicle to pressure Hallmark/BBC to release it on DVD.
Turner Classic Movies website (www.tcm.com) has a way you can vote to get it on DVD which I explain under the 'news' section on the facebook page.
Here's hoping!

Apparently it may not be as 'straightforward' as this to get the DVD released.

My understanding is that the estate of Paul Gallico is blocking the release of any DVD of 'The Snow Goose' (presumably worldwide).

Goodness only knows why - as we all know it would be hard to 'better' this film, as it stays in the heart of anyone who has seen it (or can remember seeing it!).

Yet another example of the power that is in the hands of the 'few' preventing the 'many' from continuing to enjoy a film.
