Good morning - this is my husband's favorite movie. He tlaks about it all the time, yet I have not seen it. I have been trying to locate it to purchase, in video, DVD, frankly in any format. Any thoughts or ideas on how to find it.

I would love a copy of the Snow Goose on DVD. How do I go about getting a copy? Thanks.

I can provide info on getting this film on DVD. Click on my name and you'll find my e-mail if you're interested.

I haven't see it but I know many older TV movies are on You Tube as their copyrights were not renewed. Snow Goose appears to be one of them. Maybe after watching it you can download to a disc.

I don't know everything. Neither does anyone else

I was able to obtain a VHS version of this movie a few years ago, am willing to part with it. Please email me if interested (I am NOT selling).

I have a DVD of the original movie that was probably transferred from a VHS tape from a TV-VCR recording. The quality is not great but quite adequate in my opinion. Send e-mail to [email protected] and I will give you my address to which you can send a self-addressed, self-stamped DVD envelope. I will burn a copy and drop it in the mail. No charge.

Sorry, but the estate of the Screenwriter and Author of the book from which the story originated, withdrew the material from circulation apparently after having bought all the rights to it, after his death, for some unknown reason. I can only conjecture about it that they and he resented that after all the time and efforts that he went through in his illustrative hardworking career, the public/society which, for what seemed to them to be an eternity, had withheld their accolades for his works in general, leading to his less than celebrity and was not worthy of the beauty of this work in general.
I saw an archived International Print of it back c.1971 from the Brussel's Musee du Cinema/Cinemateque and even 'tho' it was impressively mindbogglingly beautiful, creative, romantic, and thought and emotional provoking, as usual tended to dose off, probably because as a Medical Student over there, was sleep deprived, and as a probable sufferer of ADD (a heretofore unknown entity) had trouble keeping my attention toward audio or video presentations --- I seem to have outgrown this.
After seeking to see the film myself for the intervening decades, nearly two years ago I saw the film, probably cut a bit from the European version from which any sexual footage is withheld in the U.S., which probably had violence withheld which tends to be seen here, in U.S. versions (often cut in European versions) --- in YouTube, in four parts and in rather poor quality presenta-tion, interrupted with the multiple pauses sometime rampant with such videos. Viewing this or showing it may be a copyright infringement, which an estate or an artist apparently may capriciously under the guise of artistic property whether or not they may benefit from such a non presentation of such material despite the pleasure and/or benefit withheld from the public.
So in short a legal copy of this work from Hallmark Hall of Fame is, has not been, and probably will not be available, ever, unless released by Paul Gallico's estate/family. You might see the copy at the Musee in Brussels but you would have to be privy to their monthly film showing schedules on an ongoing basis or to someone who does since the Musee does not mail them outside of the area, or didn't years ago for you to know when they would show the film in question.
