Is Natalie Portman really going to be in the remake?

Interesting cast choices by Sony.

This is being remade? Really? I just saw it for the first time yesterday and couldn't believe how dull and insignifigant to anything this movie was. Hope they plan to beef it up.

They're remaking it. Of course they will spin it more cleverly.

Wow! I just watched it for the first time today, as well, but I thought it was fantastic. Actually, while watching this, I even thought "Why hasn't this been remade yet?". Now I come here and find out that that is now the case. Unfortunately, I'm sure that they will make it a longer running film, which to me would just be padding. The idea is perfect for a short running time, otherwise it will get stale too quick.

I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE REMAKE IF THEY MADE IT

If you guys enjoyed this movie I'd recommend checking out Wait Until Dark, which Blind Terror/See No Evil is loosely based on. It came out in 1967 and stars Audrey Hepburn.

You've had your whole *beep* life to think things over!

For a long time, I though "See No Evil" was the Audrey Hepburn film. Both this and "Wait Until Dark" are excellent movies, and neither needs to be "graced" with Natalie Portman's appearance in a remake. I just don't see it.

okay seriously, what is it with remakes and natalie portman?? aside from her lack of acting ability, and disinterest in her in every respect, what is the deal with using her in so many remakes?? every other thriller movie being remade is said to have cast her in the starring roles? what is so special about this girl? there are plenty of others that are WAY better than her

I like Natalie Portman, although "Black Swan" itself underwhelmed me (flame away, I don't care).

There is NO NEED however to remake either "See No Evil" or "Wait Until Dark" with Portman or any other actress.

Come up with something different, Hollywood, or keep wondering why no one bothers to keep your industry alive.

And by the way, "SUCKER BOMB"!!!!!!!!!!!

There's different, and then there's insulting. Baby Doll!

It would be tricky to remake. It's an excellent movie, and I think the reason why it's so good it's because of Richard Fleischer's direction (besides Mia Farrow being great, of course). You give it another kind of direction, flashier, and less subtle and complex, and you run the risk of having quite an average movie, IMO.
