The real villian was the DA!

He was really the main antogonist of the film. He wanted to have so much power and had political gain. Rather than tell the truth. Sure the men's political convictions were really controversial and still are. But the DA should had focused on the murder and overlooked that. He wanted power and that the real DA now, is answering to God. And like S&V, has a lot of explaining to do over his actions.

What actions do Sacco and Vanzetti have to explain? And the DA was certainly not the true villain and he was not just in it for power or gain, as the film itself points out. This is true for the real Fred Mooor. He rightfully highlighted the political motivations behind the prosecution, as well as the racial motives.

The real villain was Webster Thayer who was know to be radically opposed to both communism and anarchism.

Wonder if the prosecutor in real life also resorted to such open and overt racist/anti-immigrant hate speeches as he does in the film? It was pretty surprising to hear such a figure shouting that Italians and other immigrants are "inferior" specimens and therefore their testimony shouldn`t carry any weight in court...
