Visually stunning

In the Reviews here, several people have said everything necessary, about this gorgeous film. The art direction, design of the entire thing are so beautiful. As for Delphine Seyrig, - she is spell-binding.
I would just like to share that it reminded me of a film that I saw in the 1960 or 1961, when in my mid teens, and it is a great 'companion' to "Daughters of Darkness".
It is "Blood and Roses", (1960)by Roger Vadim, which stars Mel Ferrer, Elsa Martinelli, and Vadims new at the time, wife, Annette Stroyberg, who was exquisite ( like Delphine Seyrig), and it was hard to take the eyes away from her. The story comes from a novelette, "Carmilla" by Sheridan LeFanu. Look for it, if you loved "Daughters of Darkness".
