Count Yorga's Mansion.

I think I have seen the exterior of Yorga's mansion in other films, but I am not quite sure. Does anyone else know if that house has been used in other films? Also, does anyone know where that house is located?

Here is an answer to your question, posted more than one year later...

The house where the first "Count Yorga" movie was filmed has been used in other movies. It is located in the hills near Silverlake, in Los Angeles. Robert Quarry mentioned at one point that it was near the Greek Theater. There are many nice homes in this area, by the way.

Of course, in movies you can switch exteriors and interiors all the time. I imagine that they used the same exteriors and interiors for most of the "Yorga" movie as their budget was quite limited. I have seen the same interior for a couple of movies. Besides "Yorga", there was the other Quarry masterpiece called "Deathmaster", and a made-for-tv movie called "The Girl on the late, late show".

The house used in "The Return of Count Yorga" can be found in Montecito CA. (A posh suburb of Santa Barbara) At the time of the filming the property was going through local application reveiw to become a retirement facility. Eventually the property was granted all permits, and opened as a retirment facility in May 1975. It still operates as such, and much of the original building with much of the same interiors remain to this day. I worked there for over 20 years. J.F.
