Simons Sweater

I'm sure it's been pointed out on here sometime or another. But I can't find anything so I figured I'd post something about it. I just got around to watching this flick for the first time today. When the character of Simon showed up I marked out inside my head when I saw that Friday the 13th even emulated his attire. I don't know if it was just a coincidence or what. But Simons sweather (other than the color) was exactly like the sweater worn by one Miss Pamela Voorhees.

Anyway, I really enjoyed the flick. It was pretty creative. If it wasn't for this flick there may have never been the Friday the 13th we know and love.

I've heard the same thing.
The guy who has the website hysteria lives points this out in his review and actually has photographs side by of Simon and Mrs. Voorhees. Pretty interesting when you think about it.

Since we're talking about costumes, did anyone notice the white on white outfit worn by one of the characters and the same hair style as Angie Dickenson's in Dressed To Kill?

That is exactly what I thought. I also noticed that Simon's sweater was exactly like Mrs. Voorhees's.
I saw this movie because someone recommended it to me and even though I had heard of it before, I never knew that Friday the 13th had 'borrowed' a bunch of things from this movie. Anyway, I paid lots of attention to certain details because I wanted to spot the similarities and the sweater definitely gave me a Mrs. Voorhees deja vu
