PUNISHMENT PARK available on YouTube in its entirety

Not sure if it was posted legally, but it may very well have been. Other groundbreaking films by Peter Watkins—PRIVELEGE and THE WAR GAME are also there for the viewing, plus interviews with Watkins himself (all presumably taken from the DVDs people keep mentioning here). PUNISHMENT PARK is presented in 10 parts. Thirty six years and still potent. Very much worth seeing.

Enjoy...

Or you could buy it and show some financial respect to its director.

A pretty ignorant thing to say, in my opinion.
I've only seen 'Punishment Park', but I think it's extremely essential and important viewing. I'm sure that Watkins' priorities lie in people actually getting to see his material, rather than 'financial respect'.
Am I also right in thinking it's been used for educational purposes too? I really think that films like this are more important to be seen than to be paid for.
Not a dig at you, but I feel that copyright/'piracy' issues can be a bit of a quandary sometimes.

Financial issues aside, why would you want to watch it in crap quality on YouTube?

Some folks need the You' as they have few means and rely as i do on public, shared computers in libraries, etc. with Hi-Speed web access... THANKS,

Films like this should be disseminated as widely as possible - and I'm sure Watkins would agree... Bush revokes Habeas Corpus anyone??..media manipulation has gone way too far.

Is this mockumentary "dated"? Maybe we're watching too much TV.

There is a pretty good fully-legal British edition available. If you can't find it on import (I regularly see British DVD imports in shops when I visit Amsterdam, but I do not know if they are widely available outside that city) the best deal I can find is at play.com who are selling it for euro17.49, but probably you could find it cheaper.
