Rodney Dangerfield

A bit odd to see Rodney "I don't get no respect" Dangerfield as a sort of obnoxious and bascically unfunny ass hat in this movie. I did get a bit of that Dangerfield vibe, though - the twitching, the bulging eyes, the frustration with the world around him. Just odd, though, that there was really no humor in the lines they gave him.

Also, don't know if anyone else made this connection, but years later, Don Rickles played an eerily similar role in the movie "Dirty Work," where he was in charge of the ushers at a theater. Much like Dangerfield's character, Rickles had the ushers line up for inspection, where he proceeded to berate them for their lack of professionalism.

The scene in "Dirty Work" with Rickles is way funny, I'm sure Rodney was acting as directed and although not funny, it wasn't suppose to be.

If I've never seen it before, it's a new release to me!
