who stitched up Evelyn would be in big trouble today for not reporting an attempted suicide. If someone is attacked by a crazy person and they find out that a doctor hadn't reported an incident, that doctor would have big legal troubles. I'm not sure about laws back then.
And why didn't Dave file a report and get a restraining order. Celebrities often have stalkers like Dave Letterman.
