Love the Scorsese story...**spoilers***

The story Ted Kotcheff tells about the film being shown for the first time at a film festival and the crowd being full of film industry types...and he is very nervous of course...as the film plays the crowd seems mostly silent and so he is unsure about how they are reacting to it...except this one guy sitting right behind him who keeps mumbling "Wow, amazing, incredible!" and then when it gets to the scene where Doc is going to have sex with Grant the guy behind him starts loudly talking to himself "Wow, this director is going to do it! He's going to go all the way! Wow, I can't believe it! This is incredible! Fantastic! Wow!"

So, Kotcheff turns around and looks at the guy because he feels like "Well, at least this guy loves the film."

As they are standing in the lobby after the film Kotcheff says to one of the people with him "Who was that guy behind me that was talking through the whole film?" and he sees the young man walking past in the lobby and says "That guy right there, who is he?" and he is told "Oh, he's nobody, just a young director that has not really done anything. He made one film you wouldn't know him."

Ted presses and says "But what's his name?" because he was excited the guy really liked the film and he's told "You wouldn't know him, his name is Scorsese, Marty Scorsese, he hasn't made anything you would have seen."

Ted frowns and says "Yes, I have never heard of him."

Years later when Scorsese was a juror at Cannes he chose Wake in Fright to be shown at the festival because the film had stuck with him for all those years.
