What Motorcycle Movie?

I'm trying to find out the name of a movie. A long time ago on TV, I saw a movie that centered around motorcycles--dirt bikes. It looked like it was made in the early/mid-seventies.

The opening scene showed a dirt road in a desert, with a lot of dirt bikers going by. After a while, one of the main characters comes by dead last. If I recall, the guy kind of looked like Radar from MASH, so I'll refer to him as Radar.

Somehow or the other, he met up with a guy who was really good on motorcycles, and was a bit of the rebel stereotype, so I'll refer to him as Rebel. Somehow or another, Radar and Rebel become friends.

I think Radar's dad owned a motorcycle shop, and Rebel comes in to buy a head gasket, and Radar says something about the gasket having less blow-by than others.

I also remember a scene where Rebel and Radar are riding around in a farmer's field, ripping it up, and I think they got chased out by the farmer.

The only other thing I remember is that Rebel had a girlfriend, and Radar was attracted to her.

Aside from that, I don't remember much about the movie. Does anybody have any idea what the name of this movie is?

It was Little Fauss and Big Halsey.

It's Michael J Pollard who looks a bit like Radar from MASH

YES! That's the one! It's been about 15 years since I've seen it, back when they were still doing the ABC Million Dollar Movie in the afternoons. Looks like it is really hard to find these days, too. Thanks, Michaeldecker!
