They digitally removed all the stragglers on the streets


When I used to watch the VHS, I always liked watching for all the pedestrians and stragglers that happened to be walking on the streets during the long shots of Los Angeles. I remember there were about five or six people and a white work van at one point could be seen moving down the road behind Heston as he's driving in his red convertible. For the DVDs they erased them all. It sucks they did that.

Are you sure about that? That would be odd since you can still see moving cars and busses in several shots.

Also, who would sanction such a digital fix for an old cult-film? Who would care enough to have that done?
