English dub?

I've been looking for a DVD copy of this movie online for a few hours now. The only one that I can find that isn't a box set is an English dub. Is the dub decent? I would expect it to be a bit crappy since this isn't a huge film. I would prefer to buy the subtitled version, but I'll take what's available.

The english dubbed version is HORRIBLE. It's edited and censored so badly that parts of the film make no sense :-(

If my answers frighten you then you should cease asking scary questions.

Are you referring to the english dub that is in the box set? I JUST watched it, (I usually don't watch the dubbed versions, but why I did is a different story), anyway, is there a difference in versions between the english dub & the original? (as in edits, etc.)
Thanks

I'm sorry, I don't really know because I don't own the boxed set. The copy I watched was from Netflix. The English dubbed version was the same one that Elvira Mistress of the Dark ripped to shreds on her show years ago.

I found a copy at Suncoast a few years ago, it was a two-film disc with TOMBS OF THE BLIND DEAD on side one in Spanish with English subtitles and RETURN OF THE BLIND DEAD on side two dubbed in English.

I first saw TOMBS on ELVIRA'S MOVIE MACABRE back in the 80s, she had the English-dubbed version and poked fun at the fact that the lip movements didn't match what the actors were saying. I didn't like the ending, why couldn't people just chop the Templars' heads off or something? I wouldn't mind a copy of the English version, I remember Maria saying to Roger "What's the matter, don't you have a sense of humor?", then after she was cornered by the Templars, Elvira cut in and jeered "What's the matter Maria, don't you have a sense of humor?". lol

I like the harpsichord music that played in the opening scene (where Betty and Virginia meet by the pool) and Virginia looked a lot like Lita from the WWE.

Is the new DVD releases worth getting?

I own the old "Tombs Of The Blind Dead"

digitally remastered widescreen
enhanced spanish audio with english subtitles

blue underground put out the complete series about a year ago, the first film comes with both the original spanish w/ subtitles (97 min.) as well as an english dub - which is heavily cut (83 minutes). return of the evil dead also has an uncut subtitles version (91 minutes) and a cut dubbed version (87 minutes), while the last to films are dubbed with no alternate versions.
it's a pretty good set, and it also comes with a bonus disc with makining of featurettes and a shaort doc on the director, as well as a 40 page booklet about the films.
i recomend it for what it's worth, which is not much i'm sure.
