It doesn't make sense

Tracy Collins was not the reincarnation of Charles Collins wife Clair Jenkins was and Alex Jenkins was the reincarnation of Angelique Collins husband. If you notice when the little girl is hiding under the table listening to the three people plotting to kill Angelique it seems like the artist's wife is the one who is plotting all this so she can take the place of Angelique and Claire Jenkins is the reincarnation of her. So it seems that the artist's wife was able to be with the man she wanted to be. It seems she was able to do what Angelique was not able to do. Which was to be reincarnated with the man she loves, but in the pool scene it shouldn't have been Tracy Collins standing there looking like the artist's wife it should have been Clair Jenkins because she is the true reincarnation of the artist's wife.
