The same ending as...(SPOILERS)

I noticed many similarities to this film and Burnt Offerings, the ending being one of them. This film and Burnt Offerings feel the same to me, almost like they take place in the same world. I guess that's because of Dan Curtis. Both films are wonderful and are two of my favorites.
