I thought they were brothers until I came here.

I came to this site after watching the move on TCM thinking that the guy who played Quentin Collins and the guy who played Gerard stiles were brothers I kept confusing the two during the whole move at one point thinking it was the same guy playing both parts It started when I saw Gerard Stiles help Quentin up on the horse and when I saw Gerard holding a thermos and talking with Carlotta in the kitchen.

At first I was confused too. There hair was the same, but Quentin was MUCH better looking than Gerard.

In the TV show they are very different so you can clearly tell who's who but they had a tendency to use lots of very closeup shots. They get right up on people's faces so they take up the whole screen. It's a little more difficult to tell the difference from far away so I can see why people would get confused. It's always been a pet peeve of mine when they cast two actors who look the same.
