One of the boxoffice hits in America

When the giallo wave hit the States, this pic did very well. I saw it in first run. The marketing department came up with some great exploitation to promote it. It's a "secondary" giallo (like the excellent "What Are Those Strange Drops.....") compared to Argento's films yet it exploits more giallo elements and showcases the beauty of women's bodies more than Argento did. Often the copycats do a more entertaining job overall than the originators.
