Billy was raped by gypsy women on his way home from school.Thats in the uncut version often screened on TCM.

Actually, I saw the movie last night. The gypsy woman TRIED to rape him, but he couldn't um, perform. And he was taunted for that by them.( the crowd of gypsies)

Has anyone on here ever read the book? Does it go into anymore detail on Billy's past?
