Where can I find this incredible piece of history?

Copies are being distributed soley through operating members of the Black Panther Party and their friends. There's a band dRED.i (www.dredimovement.com) who distributes this DVD with the blessings of Billy X.

I am currently trying to find a distributor for the film, but first I need to know if it was copyrighted. Anyone know? Help!

thanks for the link. i watched it last night. i had seen some of the archival footage of fred hampton in the lee lew lee documentary all power to the people and i was blown away by the story of fred hampton, how he was killed in such an obvious and blatant assassination by the police as contracted out through fbi/cointelpro. fred hampton's story deserves a place in american history next to malcolm x and martin luther king as a hero who paid the ultimate price. the cowardly execution by the police of this man is stomarch churning and a stain on american history. of course, fred hampton's fate represents the multitudes of unnamed black men and women who have been killed unjustly and whose stories will never be told. quite simply this film is as another comment put it, an incredible piece of history. that being said, the oratory of fred hampton, his speeches and debate, are some of the most thrilling performances i've ever seen on film. the only difference is his words are not a performance for a camera, but truly incredible, sincere, and idealistic expressions of humanity's yearning for freedom and equality.

Just watched it on YouTube. I was a Freshman at Northwestern U. the night Fred was murdered. Less than two years later I was in Vietnam, having dropped out after Kent and Jackson States' killings....

The film is available at Facets Films on DVD. It is a sparkling edition with an accompanied booklet on the history of the film, the Panthers and the making of the film. Very valuable. www.facets.org

THE MURDER OF FRED HAMPTON was released on DVD last year, so it should be available to order at your local Borders or from Amazon. Saw it last night and loved it---there's also a booklet included in the DVD which tells about the history of the film. If you love watching anything about 1960s radicals, it's definitely a must-see.
