BUTLER is SCARY!!! (spoiler) (theory on ending)

that scene where Butler and McCabe are talking inside the bar is very subtly scary to me.

it's like witnessing a man facing death itself. trying to talk his way out of it, which is impossible. there's nothing mccabe can say or do to change the fact that he is doomed, doomed, doomed.

the fact that, in the very end, mccabe takes down BUTLER and kills him -- Butler who is death in human form -- is something good to root for and does make you feel better about mccabe's death,

but if you think about it, when someone dies
they take death down with them. they kill
that death because, after all, you can
only die once.

for example,

when a man dies of cancer,
the cancer dies too,
get my drift?

it's a catch 22.

anyhow, it's a very scary scene to me. very scary.

and the strange thing, we all have our own butler dogging our heels, only we don't know about it, and aren't yet aware.

oh and the part where he's talking to the lawyer, kind of reminds me of when a dying man tries some kind of "miracle" medicine. it's a brilliant scene. that lawyer makes mccabe feel better for about an hour, till reality comes back to him.

scary stuff.
