There are 2 totally different English language over-dubs for this film

I have just noticed that there are 2 totally different English language over-dubs for this film. Different voices and different dialogue. There is an English version on YouTube with what sounds suspiciously like Marjoe Gortner as the martian, and another version i have on DVD-R. Anyone know why they bothered to overdub the whole of this film into English twice?!

I got this for a Christmas present from my brother. We remember seeing this on TV as kids. But they didn't dub it for the Video.
