Difficult to expect a DVD for Zone 1 market

I saw this movie a long time ago, and I saw it in the French version. It left an impression on me and I would have liked to watch it again now as I am older and may enjoy it more.
It is a dark and creepy movie but I don't think I'll ever see this European movie on a DVD aimed at North American market (i.e. Region 1 DVD) However it is available in Europe but the catch is, it comes in a box set and I don't know the other movies which are "Le Criminel" and "Dossier secret" both directed by Orson Welles.

I too would like to see this film. Apparently it was screened last year or the year before, at the National Film theatre in London. Missed out on that. Can you tell me more about the boxed set you refer to? Perhaps I could chase it up for myself. If you are interested in contacting the National Film theatre, I know they have a website...just don't know the web address. Many thanks.

Actually, there is an American DVD company called Barrel Entertainment (www.barrel-entertainment.com) who have this movie listed in their future release section. I don't know anything else about it and Barrel is pretty slow putting out movies, but I thought you might like to know.

Barrel will be releasing a region one 2-disc edition of Malperuis on July 24, 2007.

I am just watching my newly purchased set from amazon.com It has the Director's Cut and the Cannes Version. You can also see it at www.barrel-entertainment.com
