Plot questions please

I saw this with a very bad audio, and so I missed some parts, if anyone can help.

So his girlfriend went missing, but did anyone kill her? Looks like her body kept showing up at various places...couldn't tell if she was alive and trying to scare the guy, or someone else was moving her corpse around. Was she kidnapped or willingly joined the cult?

When they pushed the old man off the bridge, what were his dying words? Sounded something like "Don't let them fly"?
