Was it all in her mind?

or at least the last 10 minutes or so? the movie got really weird around that time

I think it's supposed to be ambiguous. It's left open to interpretation so the viewer can decide whether these things really happened or were all imaginary. Or at least that's how I see it anyways. For me, I would like it all to be real so I interpret it as thought it is. But maybe other viewers would like it to be some sort of dream or hallucination. It's up for you to decide.

Good answer. I don't think the writer had a clear cut plan for the plot so they left everything murky hoping it woukd be interpreted as cryptic. I was very disappointed.

I like this film too-----it was very atmospheric, with a genuine organic feel to it, and the ending was definitely left open to interpretation--you're never told exactly whether what Jessica's seeing is real or in her head. Nice little weird and offbeat, spooky indie horror flick, and yeah it's a real '70s gem, too. Love the memorable title, too.

I like the way it ended, letting you decide for yourself. Too many moviegoers want everything explained to them, but sometimes it works better with the opposite.
