where can i find this movie!?

I seem to remember this was one of the purest, car chases I have watched on screen. Not many dramatic, if any..., special effects. Just two excellent handling cars, a BMW series 5(503?, I am not sure now...) and a recently launched Jaguar XJ-S. This movie if released again, shall become another cult film due to this car race and the way it was filmed.

I agree the car chase scenes where very realistic, and this movie also got a great score!

The Jag was a lovely big white XJ6.
You're right about the chase though, it's great, with none of the silliness you get in most movie car chases.
The opening of the film, with George C. Scott's character giving his BMW a fast test run on the deserted mountain road is great too.

This film has been released as a "burned on demand" DVD-R from Warner Home Archive.

Hopefully Warner includes it on their new archive instant site. I checked just now and would have signed up if it was there but so far they seem to have a limited selection.

It's now on Amazon Instant
