I really despise this "film".

My God, that was so bad. This film had no redeeming qualities whatsoever. What the Hell is wrong with you people? I realize there wasn't much in the way of good films when this came out, But since then, EVERY movie has been better.
I have to wash my eyes out, now.

Please let me know if I spelled something wrong. I actually DO give a s**t.

I'm just curious. What movies are on your top ten list?

"Despise" is pretty strong. I've seen many movies I thought were awful in my time, but I don't think I've ever despised a movie. What, pray tell, causes you to despise this flick?

reply

OP does not seem to like many films that he comments on. Perhaps he is a frustrated director.

Weak bait.

this movie serves no purpose, absolutely non other than seeing CS's tits

The OP seems to have not bothered to return to this thread he started. Maybe a 'slash, burn, and never return!' post on his part. And yes, you have my permission to use that phrase. lol

His comment about nothing being any good at the time says all one needs to know about where he is coming from. The year of 1971 was full of wonderful films by the new "auteurs" of the period. This film, along with others such as: The French Connection, Klute, A Clockwork Orange, McCabe and Mrs. Miller, The Hospital, Sometimes A Great Notion, , Sunday Bloody Sunday, Carnal Knowledge, Death In Venice, and Summer of '42. And....hey.....just for fun, I'll throw in my fave old 007 movie, Diamonds Are Forever.

It was a watershed year in film. A whole crop of talented new directors that....due to relaxed censorship standards....were able to explore new, controversial territories in subject matter and content.

Great post. The 70's was my favorite decade for films. In my DVD collection I can safely say 75% of the movies are from that era. Yes 1971 was a great year for film, other great films from that year are The Beguiled, Harold and Maude, Dirty Harry,Shaft, Panic in Needle Park, Billy Jack and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I saw Willy Wonka as a 10 year old in 1971 what a great film. I would love to relive 1971 as a 21 year old instead of a 10 year I would have seen all those movies!

I have just seen it for the first time and really enjoyed it

Each and every item of the OP's statement is moronic hooey.
