Little help please.

I believe I have found the movie I vaguely remember seeing as a kid on the late Saturday "Shock Theater". The points I remember is that the woman doing the killings goes into a trance / episode that is connected with her father being a muderer (the Ripper).

But the scene that sticks in my head is her falling to her death from a indoor balcony or something of the sort in slow motion. All else I remember is that it struck me as sad and sympathetic for her in the end. Is this the same film?
